Central Combat Sports is the Canadian home of team MMA MASTERS, which has produced some of the best fighters in the world. Most of our members, however, are ordinary people that are looking to get in great shape, make friends, and learn how to defend themselves.

In addition to unlimited classes, our adult membership includes a key to our facility. Our facility is available to our adult members from 5:00am to 10:00pm daily.

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU. KICKBOXING. MIXED MARTIAL ARTS

Our Kids Martial Arts classes focus on building fitness, discipline, and confidence. These classes provide a fun and safe environment for kids to learn practical self-defence skills, while improving their physical coordination, and developing essential life skills like teamwork, focus, self-control, and respect. KIDS MARTIAL ARTSAGES 7-11
Our Teen Martial Arts classes focus on the disciplines of Wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These classes teach practical self-defence curriculum within a safe and positive environment. Our classes teach teenagers the value of hard work, while boosting their mental and physical fitness, and enhancing their social and emotional skills. TEEN MARTIAL ARTSAGES 12-17
Our Kickboxing classes include a functional warm-up, technical instruction, partner drills, bag work, and optional sparring. Kickboxing incorporates punches, kicks, head movement and footwork, as well as knee and elbow strikes. Classes are practical for both beginners and advanced students, and are an exciting way to boost your overall health. Boxing gloves are required.
KICKBOXINGAGES 14+
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a grappling based art that focuses on takedowns, control positions, escapes and submission holds. BJJ can be practiced with or without the traditional uniform (Gi or Nogi). Classes are designed to maximize learning in a safe and controlled environment. Advanced classes are for green belts and up only.
BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSUAGES 16+
Open Mat is a terrific way to supplement your training with partner drills, bag work, and controlled sparring. Open Mat times are relaxed, unstructured times that allow you to work on what you want, while socializing with your teammates. Open Mat times are for members only.
OPEN MATAGES 16+
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) combines striking and grappling techniques. Mixed Martial Artists are known for their technical versatility and superior athleticism. MMA sessions include a functional warm-up, technical instruction, partner drills, bag work, and optional sparring. Some training sessions emphasize grappling, while others focus more on striking.

Coach Peter is the creator of Central Combat Sports. Coach Peter is a Black Belt in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Kickboxing and is the national representative of Daniel Valverde Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Coach Peter has worked with countless amateur and professional athletes over the years, and has travelled across North America to corner fighters and to teach seminars. Coach Peter holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Development Studies, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Windsor.

Coach Tyler is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and multiple tournament champion with over 16 years of experience. Tyler's technical ability and systematic approach to Jiu-Jitsu are rooted in his understanding of physiology, biomechanics, and athletic development. Coach Tyler teaches our advanced classes. Coach Tyler holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Kinetics and Psychology from the University of Windsor.

Coach Dominic is a Thai Boxer and Karate Black Belt with over 40 years of experience. Coach Dominic has competed in Thai Boxing, Full-Contact and Bare-Knuckle Karate, Boxing, and Wrestling. With notable championship wins at the Mas Oyama Gold Cup, and the World Sabaki Championships, Coach Dominic brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to our Kickboxing classes. When not in the gym, Coach Dominic works as a Professor of Engineering at St. Clair College.

Coach Manny is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with over 17 years of Martial Arts experience. Coach Manny is a multiple Jiu-Jitsu tournament medalist, with terrific wrestling and kickboxing ability. Coach Manny’s smart and patient coaching style has been a tremendous benefit to our youth and adult beginner students. Coach Manny teaches our BJJ Fundamentals class. Coach Manny holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, as well as a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor.

Coach Manuel is a former Professional Boxer and Mixed Martial Artist with over 30 years of experience. Coach Manuel has trained and cornered fighters in numerous amateur and professional fight promotions. His vast experience, knowledge, and energic coaching style make him an excellent addition to our team. Off the mats, Coach Manny works full-time as a nurse, having earned his degree from the University of Windsor.

Coach Robbie is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt with over 10 years experience. Coach Robbie has competed in both BJJ and Boxing. Coach Robbie’s drive, determination, and enthusiasm for learning are the bedrock of his exceptional skillset. Coach Robbie can be found in the gym every day training hard, teaching classes and private lessons, and sharing his love for martial arts. Coach Robbie teaches our Daytime and Youth classes.

Coach Randi is also a Registered Massage Therapist.
